Day 35 19/6/16 Day 6 12/50 Register Week Tour.

Day 35 : Day 6 12/50 Register Week Tour

The day was grey yet again but no rain this morning.  There was some talk of "Scottish mist" likely but as yet we had not seen any (today!).

As the 12/50 Register Week is now drawing to a close we decided to have a quiet day today as tomorrow is a bit of a drive.  We needed to repack the cars but firstly Alan and Dale went into Aberfeldy to wash both cars.  Alan managed to wash the 12/60 for just 2 pounds but it took 3 pounds to wash the Speed 20.  But after this weeks driving they both certainly needed it.  Unfortunately David and Kay did not see the cleaned cars as they decided to leave early today for the long trip home to Leicester.

Once back at Moness Alan did a bit of polishing on the 12/60 using Mike B’s polish as David had taken his home and Dale (somewhat resistant to polishing) supervised, thinking that the amount of polish needed for the Speed 20 was an unfair burden on Mike's polish supplies.

Washed and polished the 12/60 and Speed 20 stand ready for the next phase of our Scottish adventure.
With packing and sorting out of the way, we decided that a good walk was in order. We took a leisurely back roads walk down into the viallage of Aberfeldy.

The footpath into Aberfeldy crossed the local brook and weaved its way into the village

We found a lovely cafe for late lunch then strolled through the village making our way back to Moness for afternoon tea.

Back over the brook to Moness.

12/50 passing Alan and Noeline on the raod back to Moness.

Noeline greets Peter and Janet returning after a day out.
We finished packing a set off for pre dinner drinks and dinner at the resort.

We are head off tomorrow for Tarbert on the Kintyre Peninsula with Mike and Ruth, Peter and Janet, Alan and Noeline - hoping we have a reasonable day weather wise for the journey.

Big thank you to Anthony for organizing such a great event in Scotland, we certainly hope to be able to visit again.
