Day 15 30/5 Blairgowrie Scotland to Abadean and overnight on the Ferry

Day 15 Blairgowrie to Aberdeen and overnight on the Shetland Ferry

We awoke to a lovely sunny day it was .  Following a lovely breakfast we had to pack up once again.  This morning I took a stroll around the yard taking in the peace and tranquility it was magnificent.

Spring is all around with young animals and sunshine!

Quick stop to discuss directions...and enjoy the view.

Same stop different angle.

The views just go on and on.....

We decided to stop at Balmoral Castle and take tea with the Queen while she was on holidays but we were about a month early!  It is a rather grand home (as you would expect).  It was orwas the inally purchased by Queen Victoria and remodeled by Prince Albert.  The only room in the house available for public viewing was the ballroom.  The gardens are lovely with most plants and shrubs about to come into bloom just in time for the royal family's arrival.  We enjoyed a cuppa but her majesty was not present.

Alan and Noeline in the sunken garden on the West side of the castle.

Guess who in the sunken gardens?

Aberdeen - attached housing all in the same grey stone.
We arrived at the ferry terminal at around 5.30 pm and waited to check in at 6.00 pm.  It was a much easier process than the Tassie operation and the staff where extremely helpful and friendly.
