Day 26 10/6/16 Orkney to Scotland (Scrabster then along the north coast to Rhiconich)

Day 26 Ferry back to mainland (Orkney to Scrabster) then travel to Rhiconich

Packing up we headed for the ferry in Stromness which was a quick crossing taking about 90 minutes then it was off along the North coast of Scotland heading West.

Magnificent view across northern Scotland
Through some delightful Highland moors, mountains and valleys to our overnight lodging at Richonich.

Amazing wild flowers - but we just a little early for the heather.

"Are you getting my best side???"

A convoy of sports cars travelling in the opposite direction.

McFritz studies the view....even he is impressed.

Phone boxes and letter boxes in the middle of "nowhere".

The B&B/ Hotel was on the edge of a Loch and we got some magnificent sunset photo’s. Also at the B&B were a couple of walkers who where doing the Scottish trail that traverses Scotland from the South East to the North West, 520 mile in 33 days, and we thought we were mad. Anyway, some sunset photo’s of the group by Dale earned him a scotch so that was worthwhile. The Publican advised me he had around 60 different Scotches, even the walkers couldn't try them all. He also suggested I could go up the fire escape onto the roof for a better photo, I declined. Fortunately Maritta had taken one from our second storey bedroom window.
