Day 20 Shetland Car Show - display day
The day was a little grey and overcast but no rain!! Most of us
went in early to setup for the car display. Tony travelled with Alan jst to experience the open air in the 12/60. Seemed impressed.
Noeline
had a leisurely
start and came in later with Helen. Kay and I had an appointment to get
our nails done and therefore had to go in with the boys. I walked from
the Clickamen Centre (car display area) into town - fortunately I had a rough idea of the
town layout and managed to make my appointment just in time. (No map or GPS needed!)

After lining up with the other Alvi we went of
to explore the display. Quite and incredible collection.
A wide
variety of cars, trucks, buses, tractors, motorcycles, bicycles, and models
were on display, something for everyone.

Noeline's hair washed, Kay and Maritta's nails done we all met up for lunch in town at the Pettrie Cafe then all went back to the car show. Helen then took the ladies out on a short sight seeing tour. We all stayed in town and had dinner together at the museum restaurant.
In the
evening we went to the concert which had been organized as part of the car show events. The concert included a number of local players starting with a couple of very
talented young girls then various folk singers, fiddle players etc.

We left at
11:30pm, before the end as we had about a 45 minute drive to get back to Lunna
House. The drive back was amazing. The sun has just starting to set and it was midnight!!
