Day 4 19/5/16 Warrington to Leicester

Day 4 Travel from Warrington to Leicester

Another lovely sunny morning - a little cool but sunny and a decision on whether to risk short sleeves under the cardigan???  A wise choice as later in the day as the day heated up and the "cardi" came off.

View from our window at Claire and Norman's in Warrington
After a yet another leisurely breakfast we packed up and Claire and Norman kindly drove us to David and Kaye’s home in Leicester.  On the way we visited Tesco's to organize a local phone SIM.  Dale had battled and lost in his communications with Telstra to organise international roaming on his phone.  The system still thinks he was born in 1901 and won't let him access the account...perhaps he is way too old to know what he is doing.

Stopped at Alvanley Arms Hotel for lunch

Claire and Dale eager to get in for lunch!
The trip across took about 2.5 hours (lunch included) and the roads while busy were flowing. Arrived to warm greeting from David and Kaye.  Alan and Noeline had arrived earlier in the afternoon and both David and Alan had already made adjustments to the 12/60.  We caught them out test driving the car when David had stopped to help a neighbour who had fallen from his historic motorbike and had damaged himself requiring some medical attention.

The late afternoon was busy with rearranging packing, washing and familiarising ourselves with the car we will be driving for the next 5 weeks.
